every time i refer to this session, i start by saying ‘baby j’ when, reality is, a one year session dictates him being ‘little j’. [it’s the mama in me… i tell my own children all the time: “you may not be a baby anymore, but you will always be MY baby”]
little j is about as easy going as you can get. always smiling and ready to move. he is a real little go-getter who enjoys every part of playing in his favorite park.
such a great big world out there and little j was ready to explore it all. he is proof that ‘little boys leave smudges on our hearts.’
even with all that independence, there is no doubt this little man adores his parents. whether playing with them, tossing back a teasing smirk while crawling away, or snuggling when he was worn out, j loves his parents and knows they will always be there for him.
the best ending to one year photos is a snuggle session with mom, dad and a lovey.
so…it’s only been [ahem] several months since this great event happened, but better late than never when it comes to blogging, right?
i was introduced to the Little Giver’s Club through several fellow mama friends. due to some unexpected circumstances, they needed a photographer for this event and I was more than happy to help out.

one wouldn’t expect a snow session to pop up this late, but with northeast ohio throwing us a cold front, it actually seems appropriate!
as the winners of a free photo session, this was my first time meeting the B family and, once again, i was amazed at God’s orchestration of new souls in my life! this sweet family was nothing but smiles from start to finish…from the moment they stepped out of the car, there was joy and excitement.
this was one of those spontaneous meetings which, surprisingly, cause more apprehension on my part. when clients seek out my skills, i know that they are familiar with my work and perhaps we have a personal relationship. i feel that extra level of responsibility when previously unknown people trust me to capture their moments.
seriously, though, why do i worry? i mean, with this mama and her babes…the session flowed like honey! those two little cuties were all about mama; talking to her, smiling at her…just loving on her.
what a privilege it is for me to see relationships…in families, in friends and in life.
